OPINION AND THOUGHT 1

A. Opinion 

     Opinion is basically a statement about what you have in mind about something, either agree or disagree, pro or con and so on.

1. Expressions of General Opinion

    This expression is used to give a general opinion 

    • some people say that

    • some people believe 

    • generally it is accepted 

2. Expressions of Personal Opinion

    This expression is used to convey views, opinions or thoughts personally.

    • I think

    • In my opinion 

    • Personally,i think 

    • I strongly believe that 

3. Agreeing with an opinion 

    This expression is used to convey views when we agree

    • i think so too

    • that’s so good point

    • i agree, i never thought of that

4. Disagreeing with an opinion 

     Well, if you don't agree with the opinion of your friend or someone else, then you can use the following expression:

    • i’m sorry, i don’t agree with 

      you

    • i disagree with you

    • i do not believe that 

B. Example dialogue

Noura: hi Bella, have you heard Liam Payne's new single?  

Bella: ah yeah, i just heard it last night 

Noura: what do you think about the new song?  

Bella: umm, I think the song is good, the video clip is also cool and I like it
