Passive Voice
Chapter 5 part 1
Passive voice is a type of English sentence that emphasizes the object (receiver of action). While the active sentence emphasizes the subject or actor of the activity (doer of action).
Passive Voice Formulas and Examples:
1. S + is/am/are + V3/past participle
Example: Liana is allowed to wash the car by her father.
2. S + was/were + PP
Example: She was phoned by her friend to bought some fruit.
3. S + will be + PP
Example: This article will be written by Bunga Medina.
4. S + would be/should be + PP
Example: You should be gone.
5. S + is/am/are being + PP
Example They are being punished by their teacher.
6. S + was/were being + PP
Example: Patrick said they were being stalked.
7. S + is/am/are going to be +PP
Example: Those Pizzas are going to be delivered soon.
8. S + has/have been + PP
Example: This restaurant has been opened.
9. S + had been + PP
Example: I had been eaten this spageti.
10. S + will have been + PP
Example: He will have been moved to another class.
